Even during her holiday, she shows no interest besides her faith: She carries a statue of Virgin Mary from door to door, trying to convince people of Christian paradise. When her husband Nabil, a muslim who's been living in Egypt for years, returns one day and claims his place at her side, a domestic war ensues. Eventually, the escalating marital conflict has Anna Maria questioning her beliefs.
